FMC thinks MMC hates her and no one decides to clarify things? MMC makes no effort to learn human courting rituals either? I also really didn't like that the side characters were basically shipping them but didn't do anything to help clear up the confusion for TWO YEARS. Yet she forgives him anyway without any further discussion? No attempts on his part to actually understand what he did wrong. I was also furious that his apology was given because he was told to apologise, not form a genuine place of contrition. It was also baffling that he wanted a relationship to begin with considering his people very rarely have lifelong relationships. FMC and MMC have zero chemistry and getting him to talk to her is like getting blood from a stone, he doesn't really seem to have much of a personality or appeal. The romance is incredibly weak for me, the miscommunication trope makes sense in this situation but it also left the relationship dead in the water. The world building is pretty interesting, though I think it would have been better sold if there was constant news on what's going on with the war ravaged planet. The writing is ok, there are some odd moments where it'll skip the initial action, example being her going to give him a hug, and just act like we should already know they're hugging and the action is that she hugs him tighter.
